What We Do
The CMS PTO promotes and encourages communication between parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and the community. The PTO sponsors and organizes fundraising and school events which deepen our community spirit and enrich our children’s educational, social, and developmental experiences while at Christa McAuliffe School.
The during the 2022-23 School Year, the CMS PTO established CMS Cares, which works to add equity to the broader mission of the PTO including providing items such as weather-appropriate clothes, grocery gift cards, taxi rides, and eyeglasses to those in need, broadened its outreach efforts this year. Through a collaboration with the Capital Area Food Access Coalition (CAFA), we began operating a Family Center Market two times a month at the Haller Center at 19 Jennings Drive.
